Who We Are

A youth led initiative connecting teens living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

ATP offers weekly social programming for teenagers with ASD, that promote inclusion, build confidence, and develop social skills. We try to create a fun environment where teens can come and hang out, just like any other teenager. We engage our participants with lots of fun activities such as board games, crafts, and team-building activities, co-ordinated by our program director. We also occasionally go on field trips/excursions into the community.

Due to COVID-19 our current programming is now conducted over Zoom on Wednesday evenings. Please contact Admin@autismteenagepartnership.org for more details on how to sign up

Our History

As family members and friends of individuals living with with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), we have witnessed first-hand the struggles that a family endures to live their lives. This includes navigating high school, social isolation, making friends, and the cruel bullying and exclusion.

Autism Teenage Partnership (ATP) first started as Autism Awareness at Western, an university club at Western University Ontario in 2013. This club continues to run today with over 120 members volunteering their time and raising awareness of ASD, and has spread to several other campuses province wide. Upon returning to the GTA, they searched for a way to become involved in the local autism community, but found a surprising void of supports available to families and youth. By refusing to accept the reality of the lack of services and supports available, a team of passionate students with connections to ASD were assembled to directly address the needs of families by establishing Autism Teenage Partnership.

ATP continues to grow with widespread success and continued support for teens with ASD and their families. The strong support from organizations and individuals in the community continue to help us surpass our goals and grow our vision. We look forward to continuing to serve the community, and can't wait for what's next!
